As a non-Kannadiga, do you speak Kannada as you're living in Bengaluru?
Hi Bengaluru I am from Odisha, & I am Staying in Karnataka from Past 4 years. Let me Explain Something Kannadigga Kannadigas are simple, pure hearted, humble, soft spoken, broad minded, open hearted, and easy going, just to think a few qualities. In my perspective, this is quite common in the bigger cities of Karnataka like Bengaluru , Mysuru, Tumkur, and so on. In most of the northern part of Karnataka, the qualities remain same except soft spoken. The dialect appears to be rude but the purity & simplicity in their lifestyle out-beats the southern part. Overall, the purity of the heart with which Kannadigas accept people is a unique quality comparing it with other states in general. They don't force you to learn their language. In fact, it's the other way around. They adapt to your language. It took a while for me to learn Kannada because everybody in Bangalore speaks either Hindi or Telugu!
